Social media marketing is becoming a popular trend in the 21st century. Business people are now required to think outside the box to survive in a modern business environment. Many entrepreneurs are absconding from conventional marketing methods to more advanced ones to stay a step ahead of the competition. Snapchat has become the latest social media marketing platform for entrepreneurs internationally. With millions of social media fanatics online every minute across the globe, it is possible to be successful through snapchat marketing.

Here are 5 vital tips on how to use snapchat for marketing;

  • Work closely with Influencers

It makes sense to consider partnering with popular influencers to grow your followers’ base considerably. The trick lies in looking for an influencer who is willing to work closely with you. This is a highly effective marketing technique that yields positive results within a very short time. It has worked successfully for a giant company like Sour Patch Kids. Their partnership with Logan Paul a renowned social media personality resulted in Sour Parch Kids garnering 120,000 new Snapchat followers in less than a week.

  • Make Unique Content a priority

Social media followers are intrigued by unique content. Consider surprising your Snapchat followers with something unique to increase your audience immensely. For instance, fashion giants like Michael Kors and Rebecca Minkoff are famous for debuting their new collections on Snapchat before hitting the runways. This marketing tactic worked excellently for them. Tempt your audience with exclusively unique content and watch your Snapchat followers numbers expand immeasurably.

  • Demo Your Product

Consider using Snapchat in a clever way to promote your new brand online. It is important to engage your audience through your product’s demo. Amazon is famous for attracting an impressive 6,100 mentions in a record period of 4 hours after releasing a demo promoting Echo using Snapchat. It is possible to increase your fan base significantly through creativity and smartness. Your demo should have the power to promote your product effectively. Make your product’s demo fun and interesting yet relevant to accomplish your mission smoothly.

  • Offer Promo Codes

Show me someone who doesn’t like getting discounts and I will call you a liar. Consumers generally find promotions and discounts hard to resist. Encourage your audiences to take snaps using your brands to get instant discounts and see the difference. With the right marketing strategy, you will be surprised by the size of your Snapchat followers after a few days of offering tempting promo codes to your target market. Frozen Yogurt chain 16 Handles shared promo codes using Snapchat and the results were amazing for them. They managed to increase their Snapchat followers and sales significantly within a short period of time. The key to keeping your Snapchat target audience interested in your product is through creativity, coupon codes, and discounts.

  • Promote Events

Have you ever heard of iHeartRadio? Well, this company took advantage of Snapchat to promote their iHeartRadio Music Festival online. The results were beyond impressive. Believe it or not, iHeartRadio managed to amass a record 340 million within a time span of 2 days. Impressive right? Promoting forthcoming events is one way of growing your Snapchat followers hassle-free provided you do it right.

While at it, get to know your audience, create interesting content, share your personal experiences, be authentic and use exclusivity to promote your brand successfully using Snapchat.

Interesting. I hadn’t thought of Snapchat yet. It makes sense though. Facebook, twitter, and Instagram have been growing at a rapid pace. I’m still waiting for Pinterest to make a big bang though.

I really like the idea of utilizing Snapchat for marketing purposes. I can’t wait to give it a go. Video is so popular these days and I know that it will definitely be a hit.

      Hi Johnathan

I know right? Here are a few different types of social media sites to consider checking out. Video is the rave for sure between Vines – which are short looping 8 sec videos, Instagram– the mobile photo-sharing application, kik – a free instant messaging app that’s very popular with teens and young adults, Shots – yet another photo and video sharing social network that young kids love to use, Periscope – which is all about live web video broadcasting from your mobile device and tons more!

As you and I can both see – there isn’t exactly a one-size-fits-all approach to social networking anymore. It really boils down to the demographics you are looking for.I agree, it will be interesting to see if Pinterest comes back as strong as its initial big bang days! It’s a share site dominated by women at the moment. That is a great market to cater to!!

I’ve heard of snapchat but wasn’t familiar with it. I’m going to check out the app. You still must have quality content. I’ll look for a partner to work with closely a suggested. It works for companies like Amazon, it must be good. Demos would work better than just reading content. Is it difficult to use?

      Hello Rob

When you’re selling to young consumers and looking for a new way to connect with them, Snapchat is a new untapped outlet.

Snapchat is also a fun messaging app. You can capture a photo or brief video with it, then add a caption or doodle or filter/lens over top, and send the finished creation (called a snap) to a friend.

Right now it caters to the big boy advertisers but, changes are coming! There are apps out there that help make advertising opportunities easier.
